The solar polar fields, solar wind speed, and coronal hole IMF appear relevant for triggering the largest earthquakes. The foundational models using SPF and SWS prove valuable in 2014 and 2015, and the events during that time encourage the further investigation of the earth-sun connection, and it was vital that our previous observations and statistical models be verified into the future – two years later the model accuracy remains robust.
