Participate in a fun mock water-mining planning
mission on Mars for the first Martian colony! Learn about Mars, develop a strategy to determine the best place to land after analyzing space weather conditions - which student will come out on top?


Admission to the Student Workshop is FREE (ages 10-17).
Registration is REQUIRED.

2. Discoveries and Relationship to Mars - Faris Wald, 2017 Broadcom MASTERS Winner
Santa Fe student Faris, 15, won a National Competition with his research on the Sun's power to affect cyclones. He'll share his findings with you and how it relates to Mars.


3. Space Radiation Briefing - Joan Burkepile, Solar Physicist (UCAR, High Altitude Observatory)
What is Space Radiation? Get a brief overview to help you complete your objective.



4. Cosmic Ray Chamber Demonstration - See space radiation at ground level!

EXECUTE MISSION: Monitor space conditions and use a variety of data products to plan a landing zone and begin a water mining colony!
